The United Brotherhood of Carpenters

The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) represents a growing force of over 140,000 working men and women in the United States and Canada. Our members work in the finishing trades as painters, drywall finishers, wallcoverers, glaziers, glass workers, floor covering installers, sign makers, display workers, convention and show decorators, and in many more exciting occupations. The IUPAT membership extends far beyond the workplace, however. Local Union 270 AFL-CIO provides representation and support for all our members in the Bay area. We represent employees in both construction and industrial occupations, and in both the private and public sectors. Our member's skills range from heavy equipment operator to laboratory technician, from city workers to policemen.
