The United Brotherhood of Carpenters
 is North America’s largest building-trades union, with more than a half-million members in the construction and wood-products industries. The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) represents a growing force of over 140,000 working men and women in the United States and Canada. Our members work in the finishing trades as painters, drywall finishers, wallcoverers, glaziers, glass workers, floor covering installers, sign makers, display workers, convention and show decorators, and in many more exciting occupations. The IUPAT membership extends far beyond the workplace, however. Our member's skills range from heavy equipment operator to laboratory technician, from city workers to policemen.
